Kian Shen-Jeff Tan
Kian Shen-Jeff Tan thrives in challenging environments. His passion for chemistry led him to rank within Top 20% in the International Chemistry Olympiad, and will soon play a role in mentoring younger students in this area. He is the Founder of PolymerIT, with the mission to unveil the many potential applications of polymer and what the future holds for it.

Equally interested in the sciences and arts, he has been consistently selected to make 3D renders for school events, displayed in front of thousands of people. Since middle school, Kian has wanted to enter the fascinating world in game development, and fine-tuned his skills in 3D modeling and rendering as a result.
A prime example was when he worked on a game - BCC School: Bangkok Christian College - as the lead 3D modeler, which was a replica of the school campus for people to explore. It ended up getting over 18 thousand plays, and helped the students learn something new about their campus.
Furthermore, he is developing an application to help university students master organic chemistry, which is driven by artificial intelligence and chemoinformatics. The idea behind this application was how sample problems in textbooks were locked behind a paywall - either behind another solutions manual or a website. Therefore, he wanted to make an application that allows him to design and deliver similar training content and make it more efficient for students to utilize, all without having to spend those extra few bucks.
Looking ahead, wherever life takes him, he will continue to mobilize his time and resources to make chemistry enjoyable and accessible for all.
